Hi, I’m Fede, tattoo artist from Italy living in Berlin.
On behalf of my punk family in Acapulco Mexico I’m helping to raise money to help Nido de Ratas to be back on their feet after loosing everything after hurricane Otis.
Nido de ratas comenzó como una distro diy de apoyo a proyectos independientes en 2017. A finales del 2022 pudimos gestionar tener un espacio físico el cual se usó como multiforo para las distintas disciplinas con las que colaboramos y trabajamos. Gestionando conciertos, talleres, conversatorios, etc. El foro fue colocado en Acapulco Guerrero (ya que somos originarios de ahi) donde hemos estado trabajando arduamente para compartir una manera distinta de hacer las cosas, haciéndolo nosotros mismos y con los amigos, sin apoyo del estado. El pasado 25 de octubre del 2023 fuimos gravemente afectados por el paso del huracán Otis perdiendo en su totalidad nuestro equipo de audio, backline y demás materiales que trabajo, así mismo la estructura del espacio fue destruida casi por completo.
Si son de América Latina o han visitado y conocen las circunstancias, sabrán lo difícil que es mantener espacios como el nuestro. Es por eso es que apelamos a lxs amigxs, a quien se quiera sumar y a la comunidad que hemos venido construyendo a lo largo de los años que nos puedan apoyar para ponernos nuevamente en pie y seguir con esta labor que hacemos con todo el corazón.

Nido de Ratas began in 2017 as a DIY distro to support independent projects. At the end of 2022, we were able to find a physical space to establish ourselves as a multiforum, used for different disciplines and independent art. We collaborated and worked making events such as concerts, workshops, talks, etc. The venue was located in Acapulco, Guerrero (the city where we are originally from) where we have been working day and night sharing a different way of doing things, doing it ourselves along with friends, without any support from the government. On October 25, 2023, we were gravely affected by Hurricane Otis. We lost our entire audio equipment, backline, furniture, our working tools and the whole venue’s structure was almost completely destroyed.
If you are from Latin America or have visited, you know the economical circumstances, and know for sure how difficult it is to maintain spaces like ours. That is why we appeal to our friends, to whomever wants to join and to the community that we have built over the years, to please donate and share. It is the only way we can get back on our feet, doing what we cherish and love the most
